Our Curriculum at Serene Steps

At Serene Steps Nursery, our curriculum is underpinned by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework, which sets the standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to five years in England.

Our curriculum has also been carefully informed by Birth to 5 Matters: Non-Statutory Guidance, a nationally recognised document that supports practitioners in understanding how young children learn and develop. This guidance enables us to provide high quality learning experiences that are developmentally appropriate, responsive to each child's individual needs and focused on promoting progress through play, exploration and natural interactions.
